General Program Details!

The layout of the program as well as the visual elements of GalleryRipper will be described in this section of the Help Pages.

Menu


The following functions can be found in the menu [Extras]:
  • [Cancel]: Stop downloading the current website or abort the current operation.
  • [Download images]: Download the images from the currently loaded website.
  • [Show download folder]: Show the folder in which the downloaded images will be saved.
  • [Show navigation]: Show the navigation, while the website is searched for images.
  • [Hide navigation]: Hide the navigation.
  • [Options]: Open the options window in order to change the program settings.
  • [Contact]: Contact GalleryRipper.com
  • [Purchase full version]: Do you want to use GalleryRipper without restrictions? Then order the full version!




Quicklaunch


The following functions can be accessed in the Quicklaunch:
  • [Download images]
  • [Cancel]
  • [Download folder]




Webbrowser Navigation


The web browser navigation contains 3 elements:
  • A back button
  • A forward button
  • A text field for the input of web addresses for the web browser.







Each tab corresponds to a currently loaded website.
The number of simultaneously loaded websites is limited to 10.




Navigation


The navigation is generated automatically when loading a website, and consists of 2 lists:
  • Under [Images]: A list of images of the minimum required size found on the loaded website. The minimum required size can be defined under Options.
  • Under [Links]: A list of links found on the loaded website that lead to subordinate websites.
    The links are divided into text links and image links.




Integrated Webbrowser


The web browser shows the currently loaded website.
The HTML elements of images and links are highlighted visually as follows:
  • The elements selected (in the navigation) are shown with a green border around the element.
  • The elements that are not selected (in the navigation) have no special border around the element.
  • The element that is currently active (in the navigation) is shown with a thick, dashed, red border.

These border settings can be adjusted in the program options.




Symbols

The symbol [Ok] means:
  1. One of the images in the selected navigation was downloaded successfully.
  2. All images from the selected links were downloaded successfully.


The symbol [Warning] means:
  1. Not all the images from the selected links were downloaded. This could happen if individual images did not meet the minimum requirements.


The symbol [Error] means:
  1. A selected image in the navigation was not downloaded. This could happen if the image does not meet the minimum requirements.
  2. None of the images in the selected links were downloaded. This could happen if the individual images did not meet the minimum requirements.
